I need help, in a family matter! please help me?

I have a very close in law, who is very rude to me, VERY rude, they are married to a VERY close family member of mine, and my family member is VERY much in love with this person, and will take their side over rme, any day! I have been so nice to this person, and generous, and kind, and I still get dirty looks, and rude behavior! I just don't know what to do, I love my family member so much, and I can never live with out them, VERY CLOSE, what can I do? You can't make someone like you, but the rudeness is just so humiliating, they are a different race, and I think they think I am a racist, but I am NOT, and I have been so welcoming and kind, but all I get in return is heartache can you help me?
