Ok here it is the poem I composed last night, Is the beat that of a sonnet?

Nancy, you only have to change L7 to "I shivered as an omen ped me by" because your meter is excellent throughout and your message and tone consistent and compelling. I can find no fault with what is otherwise a lovely sonnet.
