Why do I have a crush on a guy I barely know?

It makes no sense. We're not in the same group of friends, so if we went out it would be kind of awkward. He kinda seems like he likes me as well, but ehh. The whole situation just isn't that promising, and I'd really like to stop being all infatuated, but it's hard to stop lol. Any ideas?
